M/s. M G R & Associates was constituted on 3rd September 2001 by CA Muktanand Tarachand Dhomane at Red House, Mama Chowk, Civil Lines, Gondia — the firm's head office to this day. CA Dhomane, a Fellow Member of ICAI with certifications in public finance, banking audit, and cooperative audit, laid the foundation of a practice rooted in integrity and technical excellence.
In 2003, CA Ram Indrakumar Hotchandani joined as partner, bringing with him over two decades of expertise in statutory audit, cooperative society audit, income tax advisory, and GST compliance. His client-centric approach and strong foundation in regulatory compliance strengthened the firm's advisory capabilities.
As the firm's reputation grew, a second office was established in 2007 at Sharda Vachanalaya Market, Gondia, to serve the expanding clientele across Gondia district.
In 2010, CA Ganesh Durgalal Roda was inducted as the third partner — bringing exceptional credentials including a Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA) and five specialized ICAI certificate courses in banking audit, cooperative audit, forensic accounting, CSR, and public finance. His expertise in forensic audit, information systems audit, and fraud investigation added a rare dimension to the firm's service portfolio.
A significant milestone came in 2012, when Ram Hotchandani & Co (FRN 123614W, constituted in 2003) was formally merged into M G R & Associates. The firm received its ICAI clearance on 10th May 2012. The name “M G R” itself reflects the combined initials of the three partners — Muktanand, Ganesh, and Ram — a symbol of their unity and shared purpose.
Today, with all three partners holding FCA status and over 10 specialized ICAI certifications collectively, the firm provides services to banking institutions, cooperative societies, corporate entities, partnership firms, trusts, and non-profit organizations. The Senior Partner, CA Muktanand Dhomane, is also recognized for his social contributions as Joint Treasurer of Vishva Hindu Parishad (Vidarbha Prant) and Past President of Suwarnakar Samaj, Gondia.
